Testimonials
I am so, so glad I tried mindset coaching. Before coaching I really wanted to do well and put myself under a lot of pressure but wasn't actually getting anywhere. I used to get overwhelmed all the time and I was constantly procrastinating and distracted.
— Ellie P, A Level student
Glenn has a brilliant manner and enviable way of engaging recalcitrant teenagers. I started to see a timetable appear and goals on her notice board. She is now so much more positive in her mindset towards her studies.
— Céline H, Parent
This has been such a positive experience for me, and I've seen drastic changes in my work as a result. I couldn't recommend this enough.
— Sofia I , Law undergraduate
The study coaching gave me a new perspective on studying and learning, it showed me that it's not black and white, that progress is not linear. I've learned how to manage my time and tackle big tasks.
— Jory, Foundation year STEM
I genuinely can't believe how so few sessions have led to such a significant change in my life. I used to beat myself up constantly, but now I have some control over my negative thought patterns and am able to be kind to myself.
— Emily M, Philosophy undergraduate
This has been an excellent experience - I always look forward to sessions. I feel so seen and incredibly motivated!!!
— Anna, Dentistry student
Undergraduate students reflect on the benefits of study skills coaching with Glenn.
The coaching was student-centred and focused on what had gone well each week, which made the process feel encouraging and constructive. Six sessions felt like the perfect amount of time to explore ideas and determine which strategies would be most useful for me moving forward. While the 20-minute sessions sometimes felt a bit rushed, they were still effective, and I came away with practical tools and a clearer mindset that I can continue using beyond the coaching.
— Ella, Geography undergraduate
The coaching was really good. I loved how it gave me a different perspective and how it help me improve my study habits. I used to waste to much time procrastinating; not any more.
— Helen, Childhood Studies undergraduate
I could ramble on for days about it, but I think what has been so profound, is that through four, 20-minute sessions, my life has changed for the better. That's something that truly can't be fully put into words. I haven't changed my workload, I haven't changed any major habits. But two small things have made the biggest difference! Setting daily targets and being kinder to myself.
— Nina, Medicine undergraduate
It was helpful to manage my stress and anxiety weekly and because I had goals… I set targets and know what steps to do when I get stuck.
— Andy. Dental Therapy
It's been extremely helpful. I have had unrealistic expectations of myself for years and used to be really hard on myself. Now, I have a plan and I can stick to it; I'm actually enjoying my studies because I don't even need to try to learn everything. I've completely stopped thinking like a perfectionist and now instead of feeling overwhelmed, I shift my perspective, stay composed and think more with a solutions-oriented mindset. It's been a transformative experience.
— Ryan, Veterinary Medicine undergraduate
It's been very useful to me. I was coming to it having already done CBT and found it helped go beyond that to a very human, very behaviour and body focussed approach that felt intuitive to me. It's been a very helpful 2 months.
